3Hopeful Hearts will kick off a Month of Hope and Remembrance tomorrow September 9th with the 3Hopeful Hearts Community 5K. The mission of 3Hopeful Hearts is to provide all those impacted by the loss of a baby or child, in Northern Colorado, with opportunities to honor, find hope and seek healing through events, support, education and remembrance. 3Hopeful Hearts began their partnership with The Women’s Clinic of Northern Colorado ten years ago after a mandatory training on grief and loss. Dr. Stern stated, “This is the most impactful training I have ever attended. Hearing directly from our patients about what they need at their darkest times helps us assure that we provide the most sensitive care possible.” This was the beginning of a collaboration coordinated by Kristin Glenn, clinic education coordinator and a founder of 3Hopeful Hearts, that has grown to assure that our patients receive the most compassionate care possible following a pregnancy loss. After this training there were several changes in protocol at our clinic; including follow up and outreach to all post-loss patients and monthly miscarriage and perinatal loss support groups. 3Hopeful Hearts in partnership with The Women’s Clinic offers much of this ongoing support that is so critical for bereaved families. Our clinic is a proud sponsor of 3Hopeful Hearts Month of Remembrance, which includes a Community 5K, Walk to Remember, Grief Seminar by Alan Wolfelt, and a Music Benefit.
