Parenting Support Group
A support group for women who are pregnant or postpartum.
“The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.” –Osho
Becoming a mother is wonderful, and it is also complicated. It is major identity shift in which the fantasy of motherhood meets the reality. It is a time when it is normal to experience a complex range of emotions, from joy to resentment, and sometimes all in the same day. Motherhood can create lasting bonds of friendship and it can also feel isolating. Fractured sleep and the 24/7 demands of infant can create tension, even within the strongest marriages.
All mothers can benefit from support as they adjust to life with a baby. Normalizing the temporary distress and conflicting feelings of new motherhood can mitigate some of the anxiety and challenging feelings that arise after having a baby.
Together, in a supportive environment we will develop tools for thriving, form relationships, build community & be our authentic selves. You are not alone.
