Abdominal Lying
Encourages the uterus to return to its normal position


  • Lie on stomach with pillows under head, abdomen, and feet
  • Rest in this position for at least a half an hour a day and whenever possible
  • Arms may rest at your side, or they may be extended above your shoulders, whichever is most comfortable

Abdominal Contractions
Strengthens and tones abdominal muscles


  • Sit, stand, or lie on your back in a comfortable position
  • Pull in your abdominal muscles and hold them tightly contracted for 5–10 seconds
  • Relax and repeat whenever you think of it
  • Breathe normally during this exercise
