For the health and safety of our patients and staff we will be implementing the following actions at our clinics:  Everyone with direct patient contact  will wear a mask,  additional disinfecting protocols will be followed per CDC guidelines and visitors will be limited to one support person and NO children under the age of 16 years old (with exception of newborns) . We are now offering TELEHEALTH appointments face-to-face, video appointments with providers. Please call us to determine if this is a good option to meet your needs. In addition, all WCNC classes will resume in a hybrid format beginning on April 3, please see individual class descriptions for details. Support groups are currently suspended at all locations until April 17th.

Breastfeeding Support

The Women’s Clinic believes that breastfeeding support begins during pregnancy with knowledgeable providers, opportunities for education, and care that follows you after you go home with your baby.
Thrive lactation consultants are International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC). An IBCLC is a healthcare professional who specializes in the clinical management of breastfeeding. An IBCLC has received education in human lactation and breastfeeding, experience through clinical practice, and has demonstrated competency through exam certification.
Thrive Lactation Consulting is designed to be individual, comprehensive and caring. At The Women’s Clinic, we believe that every family can thrive with a little TLC! You can speak directly with a lactation consultant by calling 970-493-7442 extension 3951.

Call a TLC lactation consultant if:

  • Baby does not wake to feed or mother is unsure of infant feeding cues.
  • Baby continues to lose weight beyond day 3 of life.
  • Mother is experiencing nipple pain, bruising, damage or breast pain.
  • Mother is concerned that she is not making enough milk.
  • Mother feels frustrated or wants to discontinue breastfeeding.
  • Mother is experiencing uncomfortable breast fullness or engorgement.
  • Mother with previous breast surgery.
  • Mother and baby have been discharged with a supplementation,3-step or other supplemental or pumping plan.

Thrive Lactation Consulting provides:

  • Prenatal breastfeeding education.
  • Private prenatal consultations for mothers with special concerns.

Weekly Breastfeeding Support Group

A free peer-support group facilitated by a breastfeeding specialist and open to the community.  Fort Collins Office: Every Wednesday’s at 11:30 at 1107 S. Lemay Ave., 80524, 1st Floor.

Monthly Pumping Class

Free class for mothers who are learning to pump, exclusively pumping, returning to work, or pumping for occasional use. First 1st Wednesday of every month at 12pm, 1107 S. Lemay Ave., 80524, 1st Floor.

Welcome to Motherhood Postpartum Support Group

A free peer to peer support group for mothers and babies. This group is open to the community and will allow mothers to discuss the dynamic nature of parenting by exploring all topics relevant to motherhood in a safe, nurturing, welcoming space.
