Danger Signals of Postpartum

Call the office if you have any of the following:
- Excessive, prolonged bleeding or clotting such as repeatedly soaking through one (or more) sanitary pad per hour
- Frequency of urination
- Burning with urination
- Severe lower abdominal or pelvic pain
- Severe episiotomy pain, swelling, or separation
- Hard, warm, tender, or reddened area on the breast
- Sore or cracked nipples
- Chills
- Fever over 100 degrees Fahrenheit
- Pain, red streaks, or warm areas on the calf of your leg
