I was born in Nebraska and my family moved to Colorado when I was thirteen, relocating to the Northeastern plains where I lived for 30 years. I worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 14 years in rural Colorado and spent 2 years as a travel nurse exploring the country. I started my journey to become a midwife as my children began to leave home. I obtained my Masters of Nursing Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. I recently moved back to Colorado after completing my first two years of midwifery in Elmira, NY, where I worked for a private practice doing approximately 150 deliveries a year.
I am passionate about women’s health and the need to empower women to be in charge of their own health and health choices. I love childbirth and being able to empower women to take control of their own birth experience. I feel privileged to be able to care for women throughout their life span and honored to share one of life’s most rewarding moments of childbirth.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, gardening, music, and nature.
