Julianne Curtis
CLC, SBD
After nearly 20 years in IT, Julianne knew it was time to change gears to follow her passion for supporting women and families through their birth and parenting journeys. Julianne has certifications as a Certified Lactation Counselor and Certified Birth and Bereavement Doula through Stillbirthday. She is also a trained CAPPA Childbirth Educator and trained DONA Birth and Postpartum Doula. Julianne is president of the Northern Colorado Doula Association.
On top of her training, she brings together her life experiences and channels them into a deep desire to enable and empower each client to become their best selves. She firmly believes relationships, human connection, and emotional support are vital to good health and a successful parenting career. You can count on her to provide a balanced approach that incorporates equal parts comfort, education, wisdom, and humor to guide you emotionally and physically through the birth and early parenting experience.
“This is how we take the fear out of birth: by honoring and embracing all the many possible variations that birth encompasses. In this way, every birth is a natural birth. Each of us is part of nature, not separate from it, and nature is always stunning in its variety. Your birth, then, is part of the natural world, however it unfolds.”
