I was born in a small mountain town in Mexico, but I have lived most of my life in Nebraska. I completed my undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Wayne State College in Nebraska. I went on to complete medical school and my residency training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, Nebraska. My upbringing as a minority in a small town in the midwest has fueled my passion to advocate for minorities and marginalized communities.
Ever since I was a kid I have wanted to practice medicine. It wasn’t until I completed my OB/GYN rotation in medical school that I found my calling. I value the impacting relationships that are built by supporting and providing care to women throughout all stages of their lives. I feel strongly about educating and empowering women to make the best healthcare decisions that align with their needs and beliefs. I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family. You can usually find us playing board games or outdoors biking, hiking or trying new restaurants.
