Originally from Georgia (Go Dawgs!), I started my career as a Labor & Delivery RN after graduating with my BSN from Augusta University in 2016. Always wanting a career in reproductive health but never having witnessed a birth until nursing school, I was struck by how powerful & intimate of an experience it was. I recognized the privilege & honor of caring for families during this transition & it sparked a deep passion for continuing my education in midwifery and birth work. While completing my midwifery training at a rural Texas hospital & a freestanding birth center in California, I was able to build skills for both high-risk pregnancy management & physiologic birth practices like water birth.

I graduated with my MSN from Frontier Nursing University in 2021 & then got to experience pregnancy & birth for myself! I gave birth to a beautiful, sweet boy after a marathon home-labor-turned-hospital-transfer (ask me about it – I love to chat about my birth story!). My husband then accepted a job with Colorado School of Mines as a Professor of Mathematics & we moved to Colorado with our two kitties, Arya & Hot Pie, and the baby. In my free time you can find me reading fantasy (& romance) novels, hiking, or napping. My philosophy as a midwife focuses on empowerment through education with special interest in holistic & complementary therapies – all through an inclusive and trauma informed lens. I pride myself on fostering a safe, supportive relationship & I look forward to serving you in whatever way I can.
